Nedstigningsbrunn 500

Manhole NB 500/580 is manufactured in rotary-cast polythene and is intended for casting into concrete blocks for various types of district heating chamber in both new systems and during repair of older unsealed chamber covers.  The conical shape of the manhole allows easy passage and a high location of the first rung of the ladder.

The manhole cover, manufactured in rotary-cast polythene, has a rubber seal and is insulated with polyurethane cellular plastic which provides a watertight and heat-insulating manhole-cover.

Manhole 530/900

Nedstigningsbrunn 530

Manhole NB 530 / 900, adapted for cast-iron covers of diameter 600 mm or more, are intended for use as access hatches in chamber covers of new installations and in reconstruction of district heating chambers.

The design of the manholes, which are a new approach to assembly work, has been developed and evaluated in association with operational staff at Energiverken i Göteborg AB. The new hatch does not need to be solidly cast into the chamber cover, which significantly facilitates assembly work and keeps costs low. The hatch is fitted instead as a cover over the concrete rings that the cast-iron cover rests on.
