Total concept
Monitor your entire network with our IoT solution
Our innovative concept helps you get full control of your management network, offering full documentation of pipelines, alarm loops and alarm wiring as well as a cloud-based monitoring solution. The concept includes five stages, which together make up the framework of our IoT driven monitoring solutions.
“We help you get total control of your management network”

The first step – Inventory
Together with the customer we investigate how the piping and alarm loops are arranged, so that they can be monitored and measured smoothly and efficiently. In many cases, field work is needed to create the best measurement conditions.

The next step – Reference measurements
When our skilled measurement technicians have straightened out and know how the alarm wires go for each individual alarm loop, we use our advanced portable measurement system XPM to analyze, measure and determine the reference curves for each individual alarm wire and alarm loop.

One very important step – The Documentation
After an inventory has been drawn up, creation of good measurement conditions is one of the basic pillars of the whole concept where we deliver solid documentation in the form of alarm drawings and measurement records.

Then comes the Installation phase
When we have produced high-quality alarm drawings, showing the exact locations and arrangements of the pipelines, alarm loops and alarm wiring, the monitoring system and all its units can be installed.

And finally – Intelligent monitoring
Finally, we propose how the actual network can be monitored with the various measurement methods available, and what measurement equipment will be recommended. Connecting the system to the cloud and our web platform WISION provides total control of the entire network.
Want to know more?
Yes, by using our WiDetect XPM portable measuring device, we will provide you with a status report on your network with a recommended action plan before installing your alarm devices. We can also help you with updated CAD drawings of your alarm cables.
We recommend that you make a reference measurement with a device that can send a TDR pulse along the copper wire and then compare all of the following measurements with this reference measurement. In this way, even small changes and trends due to weather, season, etc. become visible and you can prevent problems when they are still small. A level 2 alarm unit is an excellent way to monitor critical pipe lengths.
All measurements from these devices are always saved in Wideco’s host solution and are available to the client. Measurements made by our WiDetect XPM are also synchronized with the WiDetect host. XTool sends and receives data from other databases such as GIS systems, and combines all the information to give you a superior overview of your pipe network.
Yes, with our portable measuring device WiDetect XPM. TDR in XPM can detect errors up to 12,000 m (39,370 feet) alarm with less than one meter margin for error. This protects against unnecessary and expensive digging in the wrong place.
Absolutely, our technicians can guide your staff through the installation and teach them step by step how to set up the alarm units. Another option is – The Total Concept. We install and get everything started! If there is a need to run electrical wiring to operate the devices, we need the help of an authorized electrician.
We offer weekly status reports for your network, including current information and recommended action plans. This will help you get relevant information from our experienced technicians in a convenient way.
We offer training in alarm theory; all our products and techniques are available to help with their expertise. Wideco’s Total Concept helps you with inventory, create reference measurements, documentation, installation, monitoring and auditing.
