Wideco is collaborating with Cetetherm, Siemens, NODA and Crossbreed in the development of Cetetherm Optimizer, a new online service that enables energy optimization and monitoring of district heating in smart properties. Thanks to a unique combination of market-leading heating systems and an intelligent optimization tool, Cetetherm Optimizer reduces energy consumption in properties without affecting comfort and indoor climate.

“The launch of Cetetherm Optimizer is a milestone in our work to help property owners reduce energy consumption and integrate district heating and hybrid heating solutions into their energy systems,” says Cetetherm’s CEO Stefan Eriksson.

Wideco’s role in this innovative project is to deliver IoT sensors that measure temperatures in the property and provide the API integration for the operation of the sensors to Cetetherm Optimizer. “Although this exciting collaboration is primarily about energy optimization, our sensors in combination with our IoT platform WISION provide great opportunities and development opportunities for all parties in the future,” says Wideco’s CEO Karl-Johan Wirfalk.

Unique IoT platform
Wideco offers a unique platform where alarm devices for monitoring pipes and chambers underground are combined with wireless IoT sensors for smart cities and industry. With the company’s sensors based on the city network for LoRaWAN, which is currently being greatly expanded in Sweden, you can measure and analyze everything from temperatures and air quality, vibrations from pumps and pipes to snow depths, in a simple and cost-effective way.

“We have placed great emphasis on the selection of partners for the Optimizer concept,” says Patrick Isacson, Commercial Product Manager at Cetetherm. “Wideco is an established and successful player who maintains the level of innovation we demand from a partner and who has the competence to offer us and our customers a good solution regarding connected sensors.”
