In line with our global ambitions we now take a giant leap into the French market, establishing our first office and company in France – Wideco France SAS.

This is the first time Wideco makes such an investment, as we have earlier always entered new markets together with local partners. Now we choose to invest in local presence with an office in Lyon as we believe that this will provide better results in shorter time. This is a big investment for Wideco but we are confident it will yield results quickly. In addition, it is clearly expressed that our clients and partners in France prefer to work with companies with a local presence.

In France we will focus on establishing expertise in monitoring and data collection of district heating pipelines and district heating chambers. We will also build a strong service department to offer high-quality on-site support for installations, measurements and training etc.

Two people will initially work at our Lyon office, Managing Director Alain Lintz and Field Technician Geoffroy Cousin. Alain has worked in this industry for more than 25 years and has great knowledge of the market. Similarly, Geoffroy comes from the district heating industry and also has long experience of our kind of business.

Wideco France SAS will be a subsidiary of Wideco Sweden AB. Our new French office will be part of the World Trade Center Lyon international business hub located in the Oxygène Tower building, in Lyon’s Part-Dieu business district. The official opening ceremony will take place on March 11.
